Wow! Except the camel thing looks a bit frightening. I saw a herd of camels out near Kfar Adumim in Israel but the view from the road was close enough for me (do they stink? They look like they should stink...)
To identify myself, I was 10 or 11 when I found out that your father was not my cousin. Lost contact and recently found through web. Loved your entire blog. Found it insightful, interesting, humorous and hardly self important. I struggle still with the same Jewish issues you do and have come to similar conclusions...well not conclusions...conclusions are like the Torah itself, they come full cycle all the time. Every time I think I have it figued out, I change my mind. Thanks to IRandy for fowarding the blog site. I met you when you were a wee kid in DC. Hope I get to meet you again some day...same for your father.

Not Moishe Pipik, but Indiana Jones.
Looks like a fantastic trip - the scenery from your photos is incredible
Now I can live my trip to the Holy Land vicariously through my son.
BTW...Brandon, when you post your pictures on your Blog, can you rename them (e.g., camel.jpg) instead of what your camera gives them?

Where are the Snowdens of yesteryear?
So when are you coming home from your massive holiday, little grasshopper?
